I have to admit, I love books and especially copywriting books! They have information about what type of copywriting jobs are available, copywriting strategies, copywriting tips and some great copywriting strategies.

When I realized that I had to be a writer, I didn't mess around. I researched, researched, and did even more research to find a way to, well...not starve while pursuing my dream of becoming a
full-time freelance writer.

I found the most beautiful word that would allow me to continue to write fiction, my first love, and non-fiction ebooks without starving in the process!

The word is:

copywriter!

Yes, I could do what I love and actually make great money too!

Wow, this was a new concept for me considering that my whole life I was told that if I didn't find a real job I would be what was known as a "starving artist" or in my case, a starving writer!

  The best books on copywriting

  I really love Peter Bowerman's The Well-Fed Writer.

  I have read all his books and I have to say, they are very easy to understand, well organized, funny, and he has some great samples and advice too. He tells you how, with no writing experience at all, to start a freelance copywriting business, and become financially self-sufficient in six months or less. It's must have information, especially if you are just starting your career! It's like taking a class in copywriting! What I really like is that reading his books are like talking to a friend.

  When I started there wasn't anything like the well-fed writer out there. I consider it to be one of the best.

  I also love Bob Bly's books. Especially, Secrets of a Freelance Writer: How to Make $100,000 a Year or More and The Online Copywriter's Handbook

  A great way to get some copywriting skills under your belt is by taking a course. There are a lot of them out there but I found one for free!
